I welcome Sri Jaganathan's appeal to participate in the above Kaimkaryam at Srirangam.

This sannidhi was built by Thirumangai AzhwAr and the 44 th Jeeyar chose it as the place of stay for Himselfand the Aradhna Moorthy of Ahobila matam , whenever he was resident at Srirangam. He stayed in a humble house across the Sannidhi and Malolan stayed inside the sannidhi.

It was a blessed sight to see the nonagenarian Jeeyar walk with the help of a stick and climb the steps of the sannidhi to perform the daily aradhanam for Sri Lakshmi Narasimhan . During the last stage of His life , which was distinguished by His extraordinary efforts to build the southern Gopuram for Sri Ranganatha , He stayed in this house opposite the sannidhi and fulfilled the Lord's command to erect the southern Raja Gopuram , which had stayed incomplete for centuries. South is the direction that Sri Ranganatha casts His glances to bless VibhishaNA and GodhA piratti of Srivilliputthur as commemorated by Swami Desikan in GodhA sthuthi. My father had His Baranyasam at THIS Sannidhi at the lotus feet of His Holiness the 44th Jeeyari.

This special nature of this sannidhi that is a natural home to Malolan saluted by Thirumangai Azhwaar and the unbroken chain of Jeeyars starting from the first Jeeyar of Ahobilam to the present simhAsanAdhipathi.
