Srimad Azhagiyasingar is pleased to note that Sriman
V.Sadagopan (US) and Sriman Adivitiya Dikshit are jointly
producing a CD on the famous bard of Andhra, Tallapakkam
Annamacharya, and that a book on Annamayya authored by
Sriman Adivitiya Dikshit is also to be released.
Sri Annamacharya was a mystic poet and like azhwars, he
delved deep in the ocean of divine love. His greatness lay
in his songs being simple in language; yet profound in
supreme thoughts as reflected by scriptures, epics and
puranas. His devotion for Lord Venkateshwara was
unparalleled; but his bhakti towards Sri Ahobila Narasimha
was no less adorable. In a song, he asserts that to him,
the Lord Who is a veritable treasure, omnipresent and ever
smiling is the Ahobaleshwara of Venkatadri Hari Sri
Venkatadri Ahobalesudu. Annamayya as Annamacharya is
popularly known saw Narasimha in Venkatadri and
Venkateshwara in Ahobilam as per his meaningful words,
Paavanaputahobala giri deivam Sri Venkatagiri jalagee
Vaade. He avers that Malola Narasimha in all His
forms is the all pervading, all conscious, all consuming
Parabrahmam.
Annaamacharya, the evolved soul, was a passionate disciple
of the founder jeeyar of Sri Ahobila Mutt, Sri Adivan
Sadagopa Swami. To him, this Sadagopa Muni is the easily
accessible Hari, Prince among ascetics, ever by our side
like a shadow, the glittering pathway for Kaivalya, the
last word for enemies, an embodiment for holiness, the
boat to cross the Viraja river, possesses glowing
erudition to protect the worlds and the effulgence
lighting both the animate and the inanimate. Surely, he
is the vehicle to cross the ocean of samsara.
Annamacharya significantly ends up the composition
stating, Sri Sadagopa Muni is all for Lord Ranganatha,
Kanchi Varadaraja, Tirupathi Venkateshwara and to Ahobila
Narasimha, - the repository of compassion. Totally
absorbed in ecstacy, he hails the Nava Narasimhas as Viswa
Simha, Veda Simha, Varada Simha, Saranaagatha Simha,
Trimurthi Simha, Durita Nivaarana Simha. Kreeda Simha,
Aapat Uddara Simha and Bhaya Nivaarana Simha.
It is, therefore, very appropriate and laudable that in
order to propagate the songs and message of Annamacharya,
a CD on Annamayyas songs on Ahobila Narasimha as also a
book on this great poet are being released. Sriman
V.Sadopan and Sriman Advitiya Dikshit deserve all credit
for this. Sriman Sadagopan, an ardent disciple of our Mutt
keeps on contributing his time, energy and money to
further the cause of our Sampradaya in the true manner of
Ozhivil kaalamellaam udalaai manni vazhuvila adimai seyya
vendum naam.
His joint efforts with Sriman Advitiya Dikshit, the
enterprising devotee and author have borne sweet fruit to
be presented to devotees and aspirants.
Srimad Azhagiyasingar conveys his blessings and prays to
Sri Malola Narasimha to bestow His benign grace on them
and hopes their kainkaryam inspires others.
Ganapati Vidwan Pazhaveri Sadagopacharya,
Srikaryam to H.H.The 45th Jeeyar Of Sri Ahobila
Mutt.
